Controllership refers to the function within an organization responsible for overseeing and managing financial activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, auditing, and compliance. The controller, or controllership department, plays a key role in ensuring that an organization's financial operations are accurate, transparent, and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
