contracism

When a person is given a treatment in his or her favor because of stereotypical attributes not necessarily merited.

Any seemingly racist remark or act that's made by a person out of good will; innocent assumptions made because of race.

A black president is given a longer grace period by his constituency than would a white one. That's contracism.

"Wong? Isn't he Japanese, or something like that? I bet he'd be the guy to see about doing these taxes."
