The act of picking and choosing facts or words in order to make it seem as if your personal belief or view on the subject is the only correct one.

Used especially when discussing the Bible and/or the Constitution.
The only way you could believe X about God is by shamelessly cherrymandering the Bible.

In order to come to that peculiar legal view, it appears as if Senator X has cherrymandered the hell out of his Constitution.
