Boomerslang

1) A common word or phrase that's meaningless, but is meant to rope people in. It's an amalgamation of corporate speak and platitudes--A buzzword that instills hope but makes no promise and has no intent to deliver.
They claim to offer "competitive pay." That's boomerslang for "we pay sh*t, but promise that with your loyalty we'll pay better, even though we won't."
