asciioholic

-person addicted to inserting ascii art into their facebook statuses; neglecting responsibilities to spend hours trying to make the damn pics fit status & comment boxes.

-as of 2010, most likely an overeducated, sexually frustrated, tina fey wannabe who has only recently discovered ascii art, special characters, emoticons, upsidedowntext.com,etc. & thinks her sarcastic use of such facebling translates.

A little late to the game, she none-the-less can't stop herself, similar to other internet based addictions.

experts theorize that she attains a "high" by being the 1st in her once hip, non-computer geek, cynical group of fb friends to show that such status-magic is even possible, reliving a thrill similar to being the only one to know where that rave was "going down" (c. 1991).

peers found her first asci-art status thrilling, her 2nd one pretty witty... but now just feel the need to "hide" her on their newsfeed - everyone is totally embarrassed by it.

*CDC warning: asciioholics are at increased risk of discovering urbandictionary.com, fark.com, etc. and other HTML-based diseases. Mass defriendation may be warranted.
christmas "cards" consist of just posting a status similar to:
…………(¯`O´¯)
…………*./ | \ .*
…………..*♫*.
………, • '*♥* ' • ,
……. '*• ♫♫♫•*'
….. ' *, • '♫ ' • ,* '
….' * • ♫*♥*♫• * '
… * , • Merry' • , * '
…* ' •♫♫*♥*♫♫ • ' * '

via Facebook IM:
"dude, wtf is up with tina?"
"no shit! <3 her Onion links but now totally dork asciioholic - she's f'in out of control"
"i so h8 fbook"

murderhobo

In a tabletop game, a murderhobo is a player who murders NPCs indiscriminately. This is normally derogatory, referring to a player who totally ignores quests, dialog, backstory, trade, world building etc.

The term is most common with Dungeons and Dragons, but it can be applied to most RPGs where the player is allowed to kill most quest-giving NPCs and NPC traders. E.g. Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Divinity original sin.

Dave: I call dibs on the dog.
