YANML

You are not my lawyer.

Typically used when asking a lawyer for legal advice online to acknowledge that they don't represent you, that their role isn't legally binding and that they won't be held accountable for their advice.

I am not your lawyer but...
Person 1 : "YANML but what should I do in this situation?"

Lawyer : "IANYL but it seems that you have no legal recourse."

Person 1 : "Right I gotcha. I don't have any "legal" recourse."

Lawyer : "IANYL."
