venv

A Virtual ENVironment, that is seperate from the main computer storage. Often used for running risky programs that might harm the computer. So that if the risky program malfunctions and causes mass damage, only the VENV is effected rather than the whole computer system.

They are also used for testing viruses (don't ask how I know this...) so that the virus doesn't infect the tester's computer system.

VENVs are like safety nets for your unstable balence beam program. If it crashes down, it doesn't smash into the whole computer.
'It's alright, only the VENV was effected by the hackers.' *ALARM NOISE * robotic voice: "Main computers shutting down. Security Systems breeched."
'oh.'
