Surrey, BC 

A desolate wasteland on the face of British Columbia. It is full of drug dealers, gang members, and every low level criminal you can think of. When riding on the Skytrain to go to Coquitlam, you can even feel the filth and decay just by riding through.

This is a common and false perception of Surrey. It also has a lot of schools, is mostly dangerous at night, and has tons of tasty food.

Surrey at night is no more dangerous than any other part of Vancouver, as night time brings out the weirdos and shady people. Surrey is considered the Gotham City of Vancouver, but it is not as bad as people make it out to be.

A city in which a newspaper polled it's residents and found that only 14% felt safe living there. Crime is rampant within the Whalley and Newton areas. Transients have established a tent village near 106 avenue and people roam the streets at night stealing whatever is available.

criminal 2 " Yeah, We can go to the credit union in the Central City mall and when someone puts their wallet in their knapsack we can wait till he's outside then slash the sack right off his body....... This IS a TRUE STORY that happened to me...... Time to move out of Surrey !!!!! Beware to all those that would think of living here !!!!! Be cautious if you visit !!!!
