Sumerian Tavern Joke

The earliest example of a bar joke is Sumerian, on a tablet dating from the early Old Babylonian Empire (c. 1894-1800 BC), and it features a dog: "A dog, having walked into an inn, did not see anything, (and so he said): 'Shall I open this (door)?'." The humor of it is probably related to the Sumer way of life and has been lost, but the words remain.

i cry myself to sleep every night thinking about the Sumerian tavern joke and the Sumer way of life. Oh to be a dog born in Mesopotamia between 3500 and 3000 B.C.E

Sumeriancore

A sub-genre that describes deathcore bands who are signed to Sumerian Records or bands who have stylistic similarities to these bands. The genre is a mix of technical death metal, deathcore and mathcore. The derivation of the word is unknown, though the most typically accredited source is MetalSucks.net. The website coined the word in early May 2009 when they were discussing the latest Born of Osiris release, one of Sumerian Records's most well-recognized and longest-tenured bands.

1. Star character of the CLAMP manga Tokyo Babylon, and a major character in the series X (X/1999), Subaru exists to take all the pain the writers can think up for him. An Angstbunny of the highest order... if it can go badly for a normal person, it will explode into bloody pieces when Subaru is involved. Although this is unfortunate, if not entirely Subaru's fault, the fact that he seems unwilling to so much as attempt to move on past his angst--or do anything other then wallow in it--makes him a mite unbearable at times. He makes emos look well adjusted!
2. Not always a kind of car.
3. Poster boy for angst.
4. Exceptionally popular, for reasons unknown by the writer.
