Sucking Pond Water 

A Montana term:

1. Drinking a lousy beer.

2. The feeling the day after drinking too much alcohol.
1. We sent back the table scraps beer on tap and ordered a Moose Drool. No reason to be Sucking on Pond Water.

2. We did the Bozeman Triathlon: Drinking, driving and shooting road signs. Ended up in the County Camp Snoopy holding cell feeling like we had been Sucking Pond Water.

Commonly used in the field of medicine especially EMS

To be dying or on the brink of death.
By the time we got there she was sucking pond water.

If he doesn't start managing his blood sugar one day we're going to get a call to check on him and he's going to be sucking pond water when we get there.

country mile 

When country folk refer to a country mile it is considerd to be round 10 miles per country mile..ish...we boonfolk dont really consider distance
