A combination of sophisticated and funky.

so⋅phis⋅ti⋅cat⋅ed
–adjective
1. (of a person, ideas, tastes, manners, etc.) altered by education, experience, etc., so as to be worldly-wise; not naive: a sophisticated young socialite.

funk⋅y
–adjective
1. stylish and modern in an unconventional way, characterized by originality and individuality; new or unconventional.

The e is also replaced with a schwa, the flip side of the e, the most common letter in English. The schwa as a symbol that permeates the language and serves to connect two different words and/or ideas.

Having a sense of class with a touch of sass.
Someone with punkrock roots that has leaned to adapt in a sophisticated environment without losing touch of their punk history and incorporating that into their life nonchalantly.

In Tim Armstrong’s Video 'Hold On' he is rollin’ around town in a Mercedes. That’s sophistipunk.

Sophistifunk

A term to describe 'sophisticated funk', dedicated to the post-Euro Disco era (Italo Disco and House) and post-Disco (Funk, Boogie, Hi-NrG). Sometimes to be used in the Hip Hop scene, but only if the influence of the pure Funk (bass and rhythm) era is involved. Not to be confused with the band 'Sophistafunk' or the Outkast lyrics in 'Behold A Lady'.
I remember the days of sophistifunk, S.O.S Band, 52nd Street, Kano and Kleeer are to be memorized..
