Silverbug 

Mechanical insect like robot. Round body and about the size of a softball, with 4 legs. Each leg has three segments about 8 inches long. The end segments actually split into two pieces making 8 segments. These help the Silverbug travel effortlessly through deep caverns, along the floor, or on walls and ceilings. Made mostly of Platinum, these robots are found deep within the Wah Wah mountains. They are also described in detail, in the Podcast novel Earthcore by Scott Sigler.

Silversun Pickups 

An indie rock group from Los Angeles, California. They are signed to Dangerbird Records. Their current lineup of members includes leading man Brian Aubert (guitar & vocals), Nikki Monninger (bass), Christopher Guanlao (drums), & Joe Lester (keyboards & sounds). Their first EP, Pikul, was released in July of 2005, followed by their full-length album, Carnavas, which was released on July 26, 2006. They have appeared on many talk shows, including The Late Show with David Letterman and Last Call with Carson Daly. Songs of theirs such as Rusted Wheel, Lazy Eye, and Three Seed have been featured on the popular TV series The OC and One Tree Hill. One of the best indie groups out there.
