the feeling that one feels after leaving their house or car and locking their key to open the car or house inside. It is a feeling of stupidity, confusion, anger, and desperation mixed all into one. One moment you think that everything is fine and then there is a sudden rush of panic. You begin looking for a way of getting into what you are locked out of, knowing that there is no actual way that you can get in. Checking every door hoping that there is a secret way in, but you already know that there isn't. Then you begin thinking if breaking a window would be the best option and become desperate to find a way in and lose the rationality and ability to clearly think. This experience is angering because the person knows there is nothing that they can do to get back in but wait for someone to come open what they are locked out of.

She actually directly addresses the meaning of shannarou. she asked the director for the meaning and he said to think of it just like konnyarou. some of you may know that this is a contraction of kono yarou, which means 'you bastard' or whatever.
I had come across another fan theory somewhere on google groups (by native japanese fans) that shannarou was a further contraction of yossha (right!) and konnyarou. that makes a lot of sense to me.
