An African word for something one cannot, or does not wish do give a name too. Often used instead of the word thing, thingo or thingy.

Nelson Mandela: Excuse me, could oyu pass me that shandikee
Servant: You mean the salt shaker
Nelson Mandela: Ya, thats what I mean
