Often generalized as (or mistaken for) Steampunk, Periodpunk refers to a genre of science fiction in which modern or futuristic technology is used by people from the past. (Distinctively from the later 19th century through the early 20th) However, the term Periodpunk is USUALLY referred to as the span between the start of WWI to the end of WWII. Periodpunk is in almost all respects similar to Steampunk, save for the time difference. Periodpunk is set in a very wide duration of time whereas Steampunk is very specifically set in Victorian Europe.
