Parasocial influence allows parasociopathic online "influencers" to manipulate, lie, break laws, act impulsively, and lack regard for their own safety or the safety of others in order to entertain, gaslight, harrass, and cyberbully others leveraging their "followers' affection" to deflect criticism and legitimize their behaviors.
