Naoist

Term describing people in the media obsessed with contemporary pop culture (esp. American pop culture), regarding the present time to be better than the past. Derives from 'Maoist', which indicates a stalinistic devotion to modern culture and almost evangelical pushing of aspects of said culture.
Mark Lawson of the Late Review and journalist Ben Thompson would be regarded as 'Chairman Nao's'!
