Moon Hug
when you and your lover are separated by as little as a mile or a few states away, (this obviously wont work if you're on opposite sides of the earth) you can both look up at the moon, figure out the direction in which the both of you are facing, rather North, South, East, or West - (it works easiest if you're both on the phone, the moon is directly above you, and if you use the stars as a reference point) then hypothetically face each other and pantomime a hug!
