Related to the miracle of Hanukkah: According to tradition, when the Jews entered the Holy Temple, they discovered that the Greco-Syrians had defiled the oil which was used to Temple's menorah. Only one vat of purified oil remained - enough for only one day. It would take the Jews a week to process more purified oil. Then a miracle occurred. The Maccabees lit the menorah and it burned for not one, but eight days, by which time the new, purified oil was ready. This is why the Hanukkah Menorah has eight candles and one reason why Jews celebrate Hanukkah for eight days.

Despite my AC breaking and being super low on weed, I celebrated Marijuanikah and it helped me get thru the next 2 hot evenings, until the AC guys came the next morning.

It feels like Xmas everytime I celebrate marijuanikah.

Marijuanukkah 

An alternative winter celebration. Every night for 8 nights, one tube of a large, eight-tubed bong is lit ablaze at 4:20 P.M. and smoked amongst all those present (did I mention the bong was large?). The rest of the day is devoted to a hefty smorgasbord of whatever food one's heart desires (there are provisions to allow for gas station runs when additional food or other supplies are requested). Marijuanukkah celebrators often finish the evening by falling asleep to the 6 o'clock news and not waking up until it's time to celebrate again the next day. A much less stressful holiday than Christmas or Hanukkah, but religious in it's own right.

Ted: Hey Bobby, you want to come to my christmas party this Friday?
Bobby: Nah dude, I'll be too busy celebrating Marijuanukkah to do much of anything for the next 8 days

a new holiday created by the long time stoner Cody A., marijuanaka is a celebration lasting from april 20th to april 29th,during marijuanaka at 4:20 on april 20th you must smoke weed, on the 21st you must smoke at 4:21,ect.ect... created on april 20th 2007 by a stoner who was thinking of a way to make 4/20 last as long as possible so he combined the 8 day holiday of hanuka ( however you spell it) and 4/20, creating marijuanaka for the world to enjoy
