The word originated from a failed attempt to construct a word during a game of Bananagram.
From its humble beginnings, it is now itself a single distinct meaningful element of speech and writing, used with others (or sometimes alone) to form a sentence.
The word is symbolic for the need to create a singular identity for a group of people. Whether it is a need for conformity, or the basic human instinct to feel like you belong to something greater.
