He eventually died in the Battle of Leis during the spring offensive in 1918. Manfred von Richthofen continues to be a national hero to most Germans.
Manfred von Richthofen has had many movies and hit Sabaton song made in his Honour. His grave in Wiesbaden is a national monument.
