host of Countdown. Unlike Bill O'reilly (also known as Bill-O the clownt), Keith does not make up "facts" to support his views. Also, he can be considered the factual counterpart to Bill O'reilly. One of his best segments is World's Worst Person. (Note: He is very dramatic, look up SNL's parody of Keith Olbermann)

On many occasions he calls politicians to resign. On rare occasions he has a segment called "Special Commentary". It's very insightful and FACTUAL.

Considered the best of the best of NBC and factual news network.
"Hey, stop trying to be like Keith Olberman with your parents, just lie man"

"Why are you always calling people to resign", says a friend
"Because they are hypocrites and are wrong, man" says the other friend
"I don't care man, stop trying to be like Keith Olbermann" says the friend.

"I don't like that Keith Olbermann", says O'reilly
"why?" says a conservative talking head
"because he's always saying the truth, makes me want to be a liberal, as a conservative I'm tired of making things up, too much work" says O'reilly

A talking head on MSNBC. He is the Liberal version of Bill O'reilly. Like O'reilly he is not above taking quotes out of context to vilify. This is especially true of his "worst person in the world". A segment that is not given to any of the reporters or pundits with MSNBC or NBC but frequently to those appearing on Fox News, CNN, CBS and ABC. David Shuster remarked Chelsea Clinton was being "pimped out by the Clinton Campaign." Olbermann condemned the remarks but said what a great journalist Shuster was. It seemed hardly the response had the remark been been made someone on another network. Shuster is a former employer Fox News which he worked at from 1996-2002.

In Nixonian fashion like O'reilly he will also ignore the real story when it does not suit his views. An example of this is when a Barack Obama senior economic adviser, Austan Goolsbee had a meeting with the Canadian government. At the meeting he advised them "not to be worried about what Obama says about NAFTA." It was simply Campaign rhetoric. Obama said this never happened, later saying it did and was without his knowledge. Olbermann did not questioning if Obama was truthful or his lack of his knowledge that a senior staffer was meeting the Canadians. Instead he questioned how the memo got leaked and never apologized for earlier statements that the Clintons were wrong and gullible for claiming this meeting to place. Olbermann often hisses and moans on air when any question are raised about Senator Obama's dealings, votes or experience.

Olbermann also tried to out CNN's Anderson Cooper. Saying, "Don’t tell me you don’t want to talk about personal life when you wrote a book about your father’s death and your brother’s death,” says Olbermann. You can’t move this big mass of personal stuff out for public display, then people ask questions and you say, ‘Oh, no, I didn’t say there was going to be any questions.’ It’s the same thing as the Bush administration saying, ‘We’re going to war, but you really aren’t allowed to know why."

Olbermann often gives sports celebrities a free pass on criminal behavior. When Atlanta quarterback Michael Vick was to be sentenced on dog fighting charges Olbermann said he had been punished enough from public opinion. Also he claimed that Vick's apology was so sincere. He went on to say Vick should return to the NFL as soon as possible so people could get satisfaction in his "pleading for a job while the hounds of public approbation are nipping at his heels." Never mind this contradicts his statement that he has been punished enough a few seconds earlier.
Keith Olbermann is the real Obama Girl.

A sports commentator at ESPN who pretends to be a political pundit on MSNBC. He is one of those rare people who can profess compassion for the downtrodden and oppressed masses, yet can't seem to get along with anyone on planet Earth: notably at ESPN and MSNBC (he resigned several times from both networks due to personality clashes with his bosses and co-workers). Watch him share the microphone with Chris Matthews during primaries coverage; while Matthews drones on about some minute detail of a Democratic primary 40 years ago, Olbermann's lips tighten, his face turns blue and you'd swear his head was about to explode. (Okay, I can't really blame him for that).

He can also project extreme outrage at his political enemies; i.e. FOX News, the Bush administration, America's registered voter's, anyone who is breathing, etc. His political beliefs are about 120 miles to the left of Pol Pot and Noam Chomsky: which would put him in the same category as an average poster at Democratic Underground, DailyKos, and Huffington Post. He has an obsession with FOX News pundit/douche-bag Bill O'Reilly that border's on the homo-erotic ( more like rough-trade-leather-boy homo-eroticism, not the Ethel Merman impersonator variety).

Keith Olbermann is basically an anti-social personality who craves external validation in order to fill the vast empty spaces in his personal life. By projecting faux outrage for what he perceives are the apocalyptic political and social problems of the United States, he can make himself appear "progressive" and "compassionate" to his devotees, while in reality it is only a doomed attempt to flee his personal demons.
" Hi, my name is Keith Olbermann and I'd probably spit on you if we got to know each other a little more."

1. A politically liberal pundit who hosts Countdown with Keith Olbermann on MSNBC. Best known as the even-more-pretentious liberal counterpart of the equally obnoxious and annoying Bill O'Reilly who worships the ground Obama walks on. Olbermann is usually characterized as
A. a biased liberal who hates Bush, Fox News, and anything more politically conservative than that dirty, pot-smoking hippie who lives in the empty lot next your house
B. a saint (if you are said dirty hippie)

On a humorous note, Olbermann tends to call anyone who doesn't follow his political beliefs exactly (see: Communist Manifesto) The Worst Person In The World.

2. Someone who displays the traits of Olbermann, mainly being an obnoxious windbag who hates anyone who considers themselves conservative and doesn't even know much about politics.
1. (Takes place at an average American household)
Pete: Oh geez. It's Countdown With Keith Olbermann! Change the channel!
Pam: Nah, I'm keeping it on. I need a laugh.

2. (Takes place at an average American high school)
Jimmy: Dude! Did you see Pam start screaming at that quiet kid who was wearing a McCain button in the hallway? She just started shouting about how McCain was "The Worst Person In The World."
Johnny: I saw the whole thing. What was up with that? What did he ever do to her?
Jimmy: I know. She's such a Keith Olbermann.

A leftists babbling drone, who will blame anything and everything on Bill O'reilly. He will constantly bitch about his ratings, failing to realize O'reilly is dominating T.V.
John: Hey did you catch Keith Olbermann last night?

Nick: Yeah, I caught a glimpse of him as I was surfing toward Fox News, he was doucheing the T.V. up as usual.
