A person who is the life of the party. A "Keezner" is especially known for hooking up with less than attractive young women, and can often be seen wearing a necktie but no shirt.

keener

(Canadian slang, noun) Individual eager to demonstrate knowledge or participate enthusiastically in school, church, seminars, etc. Like nerd, geek, brown-noser, smartypants, etc. but with more emphasis on willingness and enthusiasm, and less on social inadequacy, sycophancy, or natural ability.

Sally's classmates thought she was a keener because she always put her hand up in Chemistry, but her friends knew she had a crush on Mr. Smith.

A: I finished all the homework for next week.
B: Don't be such a keener! You're making the rest of us look bad!

Keener Bingo 

(Canadian Slang, Noun) Game played in colleges and universities, where players create a grid of fellow students names with three names across and three name down. Objective is to strategically choose the keenest (adjective, Keener) students who are first to answer questions during class or lecture. Once a student answers a question his or her name is crossed out until a player achieves a row, diagonal and /or full card depending on house rules. When player achieves objective, they need to immediately call out 'Bingo' in order to claim their win.

I was throw out of my philosophy lecture after winning at Keener Bingo today. The professor threated that it if happends again he will send me to the dean.

super keener 

A keener who is a step or two up... or ten.

Much like regular keeners, super keeners like to participate enthusiastically in school and extracurricular activities. However super keeners are the leaders of the clubs, teams, and projects that keeners are oh so proud to be a part of. Super keeners are the most politically powerful students in a school; some even have more influence than average adults.

This doesn't necessarily make the super keener a popular and well known person. Some super keeners are relatively unknown socially within the school but have the most newspaper articles written about them outside. Meeting one of these hidden keeners can be quite the experience as you first assume they're a nobody but later discover they have local politicians on their contacts, and you realize you could be talking to the next prime minister. It can also be depressing as a role-reversal might occur and you will see yourself as the nobody in view of their accomplishments.

A super keener can still make a good friend though, they're usually nice and can help you with extracurriculars. Even if he/she doesn't you should still respect them, you might end up voting for them someday.

EXAMPLE 1:
super keener: "sorry i can't hang out this week, i have debate club, student government, basketball, green club, charity...

regular keener:"yeah i get it, you've got stuff to do"

EXAMPLE 2:
bob: "hey i googled wilson's name up, he was in like 10 diffrent articles"

jason: "who? i don't even know the guy"

bob: "he's a hidden super keener"

A person who is really extra in everything they do, especially academics. They always deny the fact that they are a keener and pretends like they don't do any work, but everyone knows they are lying.

Keener

An individual obsessed with academic performance. This person treats every assignment, quiz, and test as if it were a life and death situation. It is imperative for a keener to receive straight A's in every class. If a keener receives a mark less than an A, said keener will wallow in a pool of self-pity and depression. However, keeners quickly recover by doubling their efforts in an attempt to redeem themselves of this failure.

Keeners also exhibit chronic habits which make them easy to spot. A keener will have intense feelings of anxiety about an upcoming test 3 months in advance and then proceed to receive an A later. Keeners also have a calculator at all times in order to calculate their GPA at any given moment in order to reassure themselves that they will receive an A in the course. A keener also possesses the lightning reflexes of a black mamba in order to raise their hand at an astonishing speed to answer any question that the teacher may ask in order to demonstrate their mental prowess. But most important of all, a keener is one that is enthusiastic about learning more than anything else.

Jessica: OH MY GOD! The final is going to be so hard! I'm going to fail this course!! I need to start studying now!

Me: Uhh...classes haven't even started yet and you and I both know you're going to ace this course, you're such a keener.
