(Computer Science) An uninterrupted, extended period of solid Java programming, usually covering most of the night.

Strictly, a javathon involves abstaining from food, drink, rest and often human contact.

Ben: I haven't started my programming assignment yet and it's due in tomorrow, so it's Javathon time in the lab for me, I'm afraid.
