A word for giving sympathy to someone who needs to vent without providing examples as to how you can relate, which would either make the person feel like you're trying to center the conversation on yourself or just be a repeat of what they're saying. Another translation can be "I'd buy us a beer to cry in, but I'm broke"

A: (sobbing)That bitch Farina is screwing me over, she does whatever she feels like without thinking about anyone else!

A:(Has just come outside to see the car he just finished paying off on getting smashed by some random boulder as a superhero flies by with random explosions in the background)
B: (Comes outside to see Person A standing and looking at crushed car in shock and dismay, and remembers the months of waiting for their insurance claim from when their grandfather's fishing boat was capsized by a whale after another one of those Atlantis escapades.) Grubenshmarger. (Puts arm over person A's shoulder as they softly sob)
