Glomm 

(Verb)
The act of taking advantage of another person's good fortune, opportunity, ammenity or planned activity without monetary, physical or other contribution. Often the victims tolerate or invite the offense due to friendship or familial loyalty, and in most cases the perpetrator is a self-admitted/shameless opportunist.

I don't have a club membership, my sister lets me glomm on to hers.

He's always glomming on to everyone's food and never brings anything to add to the cookout.

She never leads the paceline when we cycle, she just gets in line and drafts, glomming on to everyone else's effort.

glomus 

The sticky drippings on your hand when using a self service soda fountain. Usually drips from the neighboring flavor spigot or more likely, drips onto your hand from the spigot you are using as you remove the cup of soda. Will most likely run down hand to sleeve if wearing a white shirt on way to work or social function.

Big Gulp machines at 7-11s are notorious for dripping such glomus on the hands of patrons who then wipe it with a napkin by the hot dogs and leave the napkin laying on the counter.

"AARRRRRGH! This Diet Coke glomus just dripped onto my white coat. I look like a damn dalmation."

"Get yourself a Big Gulp but make sure to wipe any glomus off of your hands before you get in my car."

June Gloom 

Extremely annoying late spring to early summer (and sometimes all summer long) weather phenomenon in coastal Southern California that causes relentless, damp, dreary, miserable weather with drizzle and fog for weeks without end at the beaches. It sometimes spreads into the mountains. This shocks tourists who come to 'sunny Southern California' to instead find themselves in Alaska. It spoils beach days a'plenty and for most locals is the most dreaded time of the year. Number 1 cause for Seasonal Affective Disorder in Southern California. A.k.a. May Gray.

Tourist from East Coast: We're going to sunny Southern California to celebrate Memorial Day and the start of summer.
(Tourist arrives in San Diego)
Tourist: What's up with this stupid weather. Where is the sun?
Local: This is our June Gloom. We've just entered into winter in San Diego. You'll be very lucky if you see the sun at all the next month.

Glomp 

v, to glomp
NOT sexual, it is the action of one person lovingly (and dramatically) attacking another with a hug.
A glomp is often preadatory and lies somewhere in the grey area between a caring embrace, and a flying leap to tackle someone.
The term is used extesively in anime culture, as well as online in text form (anime because many anime characters do this often, and online because it is short and descriptive).

Glimmer Man

A glimmer man (sometimes rendered as "glimmerman") was a name unofficially, but universally, applied to inspectors who were employed by coal gas manufacturers in Ireland to detect the use of gas in breach of rationing restrictioons during the Emergency (ie. WW2) from March 1942 and in some places as late as 1947.

The term is now used as a metaphor for bureaucratic intrusion into privacy.

Gloombt 

Describes the mood of one in a perpetual state of self-loathing and depression.

A gloombt Hershman cut a sorry figure in the crowd, upon learning that there was no peanut butter left.

Having had sex with one too many girls, Hershman's blue balls made him all the more gloombt.

As the kind chef at Subway accidently puts salad in Hershman's sandwich, he is immediately overwhelmed by a cloud of gloombt.
