Ghettan

Someone who comes from the "ghetto", or acts as if they come from the ghetto, by for example wearing baggy pants.
Can be of any race.

Example:

Matt: "WHOA! Look at this guy, he's a total Ghettan."
Billy: "Holy crap, yeah, look at that.. Total East Side status. Hot cheetoes and everything."

When someone/something/some action is both ghetto and hillbilly at the same time.

When he threw the iron out of the window, he didn't give a shit that it hit a passer by. And then he left it on the lawn for everyone to see. That's straight ghettabilly!

Used to describe a poor vacation, or the hotel itself. Derived from the "getaway." Also spelled "ghettoway."

Mark thought he was getting a good deal on his hotel, but when he arrived he realized it was really just a ghettaway.

The doctrine of questionable practices such as income tax & welfare fraud, cable television theft, offspring identity theft, narcotics and weapon trafficking, and the display of counterfeit mecrchandise apprarel and accessories, to name some examples.

'Shequa is a victim of ghettonomics, in which she's forced to use her 3 year old daughter's social security number to get utlities, claim additional kids to increase her state benefits, in order to sell the food benefits for .50 on the dollar for cash to cop a elbow of chronic to sell, since she's got piyli and can't get a regular job. Chances are, she'll end up at the swap meet trying to buy a knock off Doonie & Burke or Coach purse.

Anything or anyone that tries (and ultimately fails) to become "ghetto," or street-hardened and lower class.

Person 1: Look at that guy with his saggy pants, he's so ghetto.

Person 2: No, he's ghettaux. His parents make upwards of $100,000 a year and he just wants to pretend he comes from a poor neighborhood.

Ghettonese

A dialect of English spoken in the rougher neighborhoods of the US. It forgoes tenses, and adds the word "be" where it doesn't belong.

Not to be confused with hoodrat.
