Something that is both gay and from the 1980s. Gay + Eighties = Gaighties

The girls at the office weren’t fans of the company’s new logo. Sara thought the logo’s colors were pulled straight from the flag at the gay pride parade. Tanya felt the logo outdated the company – like the employees should be wearing light peach suits with shoulder padding. Courtney agreed with all the above; it was a very gaighties logo.

A time period between 1988-92 during which there was mass confusion caused by the overlapping of 80's freestyle and 90's r&b music. It affected all areas of media and fashion. Most of the songs from the period are confusing when trying to guess what decade its from.

When a Gen-Xer who never evolved past his/her adolescence fondly waxes nostalgic about what was perhaps the greatest of all decades.

You'll never know how amazing it was to grow up in the 80's...hair bands ruled, the movies were the best ever and i was getting laid 3 or 4 times a day. It was the greatest time ever, it was the GREIGHTIES
