Flu-cation 

Term coined in conversation, both print and online, for the incovenience of schools closing for a week due the swine flu outbreak. May be used by children with excitement and parents with disgust.

I am home with the kids on a flu-cation.

The school is closed due to the flu prompting us to take a flu-cation.
I am off work due to a flu-cation.

a term used principally in English-speaking North America to describe a lengthy time away from work or school, a trip abroad, or simply a pleasure trip away from home, such as a trip to the beach that lasts several days or longer, with the express purpose of having sex.

The couple left their 1st child with their friends for the weekend, and went on a short fucation in hopes of conceiving their second child while they were away.

swine flucation 

The time spent not at school or work due to the closures caused by the Swine Flu scare.

Can be used with any virus, e.g., Bird flucation, regular Flucation, etc.

We have nothing planned for the kids during their Swine Flucation, since the schools closed.

noun. The closest thing to a vacation or a day off is staying home from work with the flu or staying home to nurse sick children back to health. The state of being home sick is preferable to being at work.

"I used all my personal days off on flucation. I may have had three kids at home in bed with fevers, but at least I didn't have to be at work."
