The gene found in the genetic code of an emo. This gene is believed to be a mutation of the person(s) DNA and is not hereditary nor is one born with it. The gene will manifest itself over time and causes the affected person to listen to punk or downbeat music on repeat with large headphones; Causes their skin to repel UV rays leaving their skin pale; Changes their hair and clothing colors to black and on occasion some of the other colors in the gray scale; Makes the person permanently depressed and resentful towards other persons and even in the males, forces them to wear black makeup and black nail polish.
"What ever happened to John, he used to be pretty cool, now he's always depressed and wears nothing but black" - "Oh yea he has the emogene now"
