The same as Drawing card in American English: an attraction; something or somebody that entertains or arouses liking or interest.

1. The audience was amused with a vast variety of drawcards, from artists to expositions.

2. The town has plenty of drawcards.

When one's team's performance is held back by a certain individual who is much worse than they think of themselves.
