Frosty the Dopeman

Frosty the Dopeman is a character created by Marc Zydiak in a song of the same name from his self-titled LP, first copyrighted in 1972 and later published in 1977 (Nirvana Records), given heavy airplay by Dr. Demento and included on the compilation "Dementia Royale" (Rhino Records 1980). This song has been much imitated ever since by everyone from school kids to rap artists with many different versions and videos of it viewable on Youtube.

Tranq Dope

Tranq Dope is fentanyl / "dope" that has been cut with tranquilizers in order to increase potency. Typically tranq dope contains the sedatives xylazine or clonodine, in addition to fentanyl and other additives.

Tranq dope is highly dangerous and harms heroin / fent users more than fentanyl by itself. Tranq dope is becoming increasingly common, and along with fentanyl is causing an alarming increase in drug overdoses. Tranq dope can be found in most major citites and may be sold as regular heroin to unsuspecting users.
