Daqan Celis

Literally translated as "Culture Back," the phrase Daqan Celis separated refers to a return to Somalia, the motherland. Daqan Celis recounts how adolescents in the Somali community lose touch with their culture and need to be taken back home to reconnect themselves with it. It's a hilarious way to tell someone that they're absolutely crap in Somali or that there too "Westernized." It's also used to describe those who can't speak Somali. Either way, If someone ever tell you that you need Daqan Celis, take them seriously my friend! 🤣
