Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat has been called Subby in a popular YouTube animation. In the soft reboot of the ninth MK installment players can see Kuai Liang automated into Cyber Sub-Zero. The name is a long one, hence its shortened form especially given that MK9 has two separate playable Sub-Zeroes. In addition, “Cybby” is reminiscent of “Subby”.
