The act of customising something to extreme numbers. This extends primarily to gamers who spend a large portion of their game time customising the look of their character only to walk around in armor and helmets that cover their face later.
The Rhodes twins both suffer from customphilia. I've had to sit through one of them customise their hero in Mass Effect 3 times.
