chatatonic

One is said to have become 'chatatonic' after over-exposure to chat and especially chat rooms. In a chatatonic stupor, the mind becomes numb and body parts stiff and sore. Disjointed, surreal posts are noted from chatatonic chatters and unpleasant personality changes are typical.

Chatters were saying that chat_gnat was chatatonic for much of last week. He was in the room for like 4 days straight... slurping espresso on mic and ranting about Democrats, lesbians and the French.

chatmate

A namesake friend; someone, often a complete stranger whom you might never have met in person, with whom you chat online, when you feel bored and have nothing better to do.

I have tons of chatmates on Whatsapp and WeChat. Even though I haven't met any of them, some of them have become very close to me. Actually, they give my life a new purpose - now, I don't even care if I have any traditional brick and mortar buddies. Yes, I know there could be some risk: who knows if my chatmates are mere bots.

Catcatapult

The action by which you eject a cat from the end of your bed who will not stop circling and circling and circling and pawing and kneading and circling unable to "soften" that sixty four square inches of especially hard feather duvet where it plans on sleeping between your feet..

Lift feet, lift one higher and if cat does not voluntarily tumble to the side, hold the blanket down with one foot and rais the other quickly.

Cat will be ejected.

Also useful when the presence of the cat is preventing sex because of its cuteness factor.

chatactivist

A person or individual who chats, posts or postures about social change but does nothing more than just that. A chatactivist will never actually do the work or make personal changes needed to impact or make the social and / or environmental change actually happen that they appear to be promoting.

Susan, a chatactivist, posts on Facebook all the time about the need to not eat GMO foods while regularly having her daily lunch at McDonald's. Tom blogs regularly about all the local protests for social change, but yet he has never been known to attend a protest making him appear to be a chatactivist. Due to the fact that Karen tells her co-workers why they should donate to charities yet Karen has never been able to show she herself has donated, her co-workers call her a chatactivist. showing that she has ever donated. Sandy didn't consider herself a chatactivist even though she was smoked two cigarettes while she was preaching to others about the chemicals in our air and rivers.
