A word birthed from the inherently foolish mispronunciation of the name Carlisle by a certain purple haired, silly, pixie who shall remain unnamed at this time.

The official use of the word is to describe how you are heading to a location via any mode of transportation that is NOT a 2 door or 4 door sedan or sports car.

"Hey, I'm riding to work on my segway. Yes, on my segway, I have to get there carlessly since the transmission went in my Prius."

carless 

When you can't drive. Someone who dosen't have the skills to drive a vehicle or the money to buy a car. They can either be poor, suffer from some kind of mental illness or just be so slow they can't obtain a driver's license. Can also apply to hippie types but these are less common.

Sonny and M. Rehmeyer are carless due to their terrible financial struggles, lack of an education and epilepsy and or other sorted mental disorders.
