Cantropy is when a situation escalates into chaos in a satirical/comedic fashion.

Example:

Lisa: "How was the party?"

Buddy: "It was absolute cantropy! Jake tripped and fell face-first into the cake, and cousin Benny lit his hair on fire with a sparkler, then fell in the pool. "
