Typically done to celebrate a beloved person's departure. Used by soon-to-be-departed co-workers or friends to describe a party where the departing person(s) prepay a tab at any bar/club and allow friends/co-workers the opportunity to drink as much alcohol as possible until the tab runs out.
So what is a buyout?

Pursuant to Policy 250.1 (Buyouts and Celebrations):

(a) All Employees will, upon departing for a new assignment, be held liable to buy-out of their current position by hosting a going away party for their friends, co-workers, and others.

(b) The going away party will be hereby referred to as a BUY-OUT. The employee(s) will be responsible for providing drinks for the partygoers, up to a reasonable limit as defined by Subsection (e) and (f).

(c) Section (a) will apply to all employees under payroll including Ex-Patriate Resident and Rotational employees.

(d) Under no circumstances is the BUY-OUT to be hosted by the employee's family. The BUY-OUT will take place at a bar or other licensed facility.

(e) The minimum amount of donations required to finance a BUY-OUT will be $500.

(f) Employees may combine BUY-OUT efforts with other employees who are departing for a new assignment. Note that in addition to the applicable provisions in subsection (e), the MINIMUM BUY-OUT amount per employee will be $300. Insofar as they conflict, subsection (f) will prevail.

(g) All BUY-OUT's will expire after three (3) months. If an employee, taking advantage of subsection (f), fails to depart within three (3) months of his/her buyout, they shall be required to host another BUY-OUT.

leveraged buyout

(FINANCE) when somebody buys a corporation using borrowed money ("leverage"), with the expectation that the new owner will able to pay for it from the corporation's own profits.

Kohlberg Kravis and Roberts (KKR) developed the LBO back when Jerome Kohlberg, Jr. and Henry Kravis were still partners at Bear Stearns (1960's). The technique was refined by Michael Milken's methods of underwriting and trading junk bonds. At the same time, corporate raiders and takeover artists like T. Boone Pickens perfected greenmail as a way to make money from failed hostile takeovers.
In constant US dollars, the largest leveraged buyout deal in history was the KKR takeover of RJR Nabisbo for $31.1 billion (1989). In 2006, several deals of even larger size were planned or attempted, but adjusted for inflation, they were not as large.

Imageboard Buyout Corporation (IBC)

A imageboard buyout corporation is typically a super large organization like Google that buys a large enough share to basically exert near full control over a imageboard.
The imageboard itself would undergo changes like using the parent organization's CAPTCHA system. Sometimes the moderation on the imageboard will change, too. Thi
s reason is why bans on 4chan are more steady like bans on YouTube.

A lot of the time the actual owner will point to someone other than the IBC and say "He's the owner guy". Many users of the now bought-out imageboard would swiftly call B.S. But, they will put up with the IBC in exchange for a platform to spread their memes.
Ghee, Moot sure sold Google out to 4chan back in March 2016. Talk about a Imageboard Buyout Corporation (IBC).

Now that I think about it, New York Times would make a good Imageboard Buyout Corporation (IBC) for 8chan especially after the recent school shootings.

secondary buyout

(FINANCE) when a private equity fund sells a company it has taken private to another fund. Usually financed with junk bonds.

The secondary buyout became a hot trend in the period 2005-2008, partly because other segments of the equities markets were doing so poorly. The hedge funds were willing to buy the junk bonds because they believed they had mastered the risk control; but the deals themselves were absurd.

The whole purpose of a leveraged buyout is to restructure the target company so profits from its resale can be used to pay for the deal. But if a capital management firm has already issued the junk bonds to finance a restructuring, there's little hope of another takeover artist squeezing any more profit out of restructuring. The whole point is to scam the markets.
The sudden popularity of the secondary buyout never made any sense, except as a scam. As a vehicle for peddling exotic financial derivatives, it was mildly interesting, but there was no common sense to the idea of two consecutive takeover artists doing LBO's of the same company. One of them had to be incompetent for there to be any reason for it.

I hate working here so much that I'm willing to pay YOU money just so I could stop working for you.
In the employee exit process, if an employee has to leave the job, he has to resign and serve a notice period as per the company policy. Notice period varies from company to company. Typically notice period is of 30 days to 60 days. In case an employee has to leave the job on an urgent basis due to studies, early joining in the new job or any other reason, he has an option of notice buyout.

The employee has to make payment for the notice period not served and this money is reimbursed by the new employer if he is joining somewhere. For example, if an employee is supposed to give a notice period of 60 days but he can serve a notice of 30 days, he has to pay 30 days salary to his ex-employer Notice Buyout option also varies from company to company as all the companies do not provide a buyout option for the complete notice period.

Boeing buyout

Getting laid off and trying to prepare for what's next in years ahead where the future doesn't look bright is one thing, but if you like working for Boeing, things are good, and leaving your job is voluntary, what would make you want to leave? Having a job at a time when not everybody does seems like something you wouldn't want to trade for another opportunity.
People will fly and travel again some day, the Boeing buyout is taking place pretty quick since travel slowed.
