Boss-zone 

When you have affectionate/romantic feelings for your boss, but company policy doesn't allow dating between management and employees, so one has to put their feelings aside for the sake of professionalism. Used in the same manner as 'friend-zone', or 'bro-zone'.

Employee 1: Hey why don't you and John date?
Employee 2: Company policy doesn't allow. I've got to boss-zone him.

Employee 1: Hey I think you and Employee 2 have a shot. Why not go out with them?
Boss: I can't. I got boss-zoned.

The Boss Zone 

The Boss Zone is the area between The Friend Zone and The Dating Zone
The Boss Zone is similar to The Friends With Benefits Zone. The Boss Zone is usually when two friends harbor romantic feelings for each other, usually neither person is bothered by these feelings, but usually these feelings are left un-dealt with, although The Boss Zone can include sexual conduct or full out sex

So are you in the friend zone?
No, he likes me too.
Then why don't you date?
I don't know, but out friendship is pretty boss...tee hee
