Boorsma

A very rare last name belonging to royal heirlooms. It comes from the Latin word Boosmaa meaning highest in the land. It was changed in the late 12th century to protect the king, Meachail Boosmaa, from assassins sent from Japan to steal the crown for the emperor. In the end, Meachail did get assassinated, unfortunately, but his wife Porchra Boosmaa did escape with with their 3 children.
