A term for a situation of extreme awkwardness. A comparison to the hordes of "Awks" pouring out of the Black Gates in LOTR, ie it is the most awkward situation possible.
Son: Good Day Mom?
Mother: Son, I haven't been sexually satisfied by your father in years, so I divorced him this morning and we're moving in with your Headmaster. I'm sure he'll drive you into school tomorrow.
You: Holy shit Black Gates.
