A rare Norwegian surname, whose roots berg and vik translate to mountain/rock and bay/inlet. The surname derives from a small island in the Lofoten area of Northern Norway. Bergviks have traditonally been mariners of one sort or another.
That ship made it through a hurricane, nor'easter, tsunami, and a pirate attack. Must've been a Bergvik in command.
