MBI: Singular "they" is wrong english!
Student: But even the University of Chicago says that it has existed since the 14th century.
MBI: But our GERMAN english-textbook doesn't talk about it.
Student: *Shows MBI an english englich-textbook*
MBI: Just use "it"! That at least exists.
Student: Wouldn't that be discriminating, bc "it" is used for things. And also, as I've been trying to tell you: Singular they exists!
