Typically used in texting. “Thx” is synonymous to saying some racist epithet. People like it cuz it’s easy to hide behind the excuse you sayin “Thanx”. It is seemingly harmless but it’s really not.

Boss: “I need you to work on ur days off””!

Employee: “kk, Thx.“
