There are many short guys with a similar disposition to Goliath, and if you didn't take the bible literally, you wouldn't rule out the possibility that Goliath is more like the short guy you went to school with or worked with.
If a short guy who was a lot like Goliath in disposition had written the story of David and Goliath, wouldn't he want people to think Goliath was 9 feet tall (which would be record breaking for a human being)?
