Salt yes

A phrase said randomly, usually to call and obtain a response from someone else who is close enough to hear it.

Salt yes is also used when asked what it means. As a random and strange response. But, if people hear it, it can actually be kind of funny.

Guy one: “what does “salt yes mean?”
Guy two: “salt yes.”

Guy one *yelling* “SALT YES!”
Guy two *in response* “PEPPER NO!”

When your jeans absorb salt through snow found in parking lots & the like and create a white lines at the cuffs of one's jeans. This occurs after every winter snow fall in northern climates as salt from the roads gets all over your feet and soaks your jeans. The rings creep up your jeans from the bottom up and create a white line ring around them.
