albaphobia

A rhetorical reflex where people react with discomfort, denial, or hostility when whiteness is named as a cultural identity. It’s not a clinical fear—it’s a pushback against reflection. Albaphobia shows up when efforts to acknowledge white cultural heritage (see Albaveneration) are mischaracterized as divisive or unnecessary.

Asaphobic/ Asaphobia

A specific phobia characterized by an irrational and intense fear of individuals named Asa. Those affected by asa-phobia often experience heightened anxiety, distress, and discomfort when in the presence of someone named Asa or even at the mere mention of the name. Symptoms may include increased heart rate, sweating, trembling, and a strong desire to avoid any interaction with individuals possessing the name Asa. This fear can stem from various factors, such as personal experiences, cultural influences, or subconscious associations. Treatment may involve cognitive-behavioral therapy and exposure therapy to help individuals manage and overcome their irrational fear.
