emo

A member of the emo community has 3 main ingredients.

They are as follows:
1. Blood.
2. Their emo friends' blood.
3. ipod.

They tend to lurk in the dark sides of the hallway along with the lesbians, bisexuals, geeks, and skater punks(faggots).
Their main form of initiation into their group is by:
1. Dying their hair.
2. Covering one eye with their hair.
3. Making their myspace names the lyrics of emo songs.
3B. and constantly changing those names.
3C. Constantly taking pictures of themselves and putting it on their myspace.
4. Emo guys also tend to wear gay jeans that are for girls.

After initiation emos are not allowed to associate with anyone who wears or acts as follows:
1. Everything but Hot Topic
2. Happy thoughts
3. Is not gay.

Emos tend to take 10-15 years to develop from birth, this is why if you are in 5th or 6th grade you probably will not see a very large emo population. Enjoy it while it lasts because once you enter middle school you will begin to get overflowed with the emos.

Disclaimer: I do not experiment on the emos I just see them so much.
Emma(10 years old): I'll never become an emo! There probably is no such thing as an emo.

3 years later

Emma(13 years old): Omg I hate my life *slit* AHH THE BLOOD I LOVE THE BLOOD!!!

emo

Emo (Short for Emotional hardcore) is mostly miss understood and is pretty over rated by many ppl, so what if emo's are emotional so is every over fucker in this god forsaken world as well as emo's alone so get over it. At least the genre of emo comes from a decent background in which its foremost creation is closely related to and has had inspiration coming from the punk genre the one thing that changed rock forever during the 70's. Emo is just another newer version of punk thats not as hardcore but has a more emotional attachment to its type of style and genre of music And emo replaces the old romantics that were originally the emo's of there time look it up). Yeah ok I'll give it to ppl that most emo ppl will try and over rate themselves with things that are emotionally tied to them when of course they really don't have nothing wrong with them at all but believe me some ppl that r emo do have problems other than cutting there wrists which i stereotyping, which is a form of attack on young generations style because and certain twat doesn't understand what an emo is or whatever have u. But enough of the chatter and bull this is my definition if u dn't like it then u know u must really be a chav or an ignorant tosser with nothing better to do with his/ or hers time.
Thickened makeup mostly different coloured hair, normally black, a massive side fringe, piercings depending on how hardcore u r and an extravagant choose in music as well s emo and other hardcore bands woot and at least there not a chav

emo

emo i generally and wrongly used by many people. Saying it's short for emotional. Typically used when talking about people who are sad, cry alot, cut theirselves, have massive bangs, wear black/red, and swear up and down, that no one understands them. Emo is short for emotive hardcore. Okay.
The way people use it is talking about scene or fashion core people.
Wrong: Wipe those tears and stop being a lil emo bitch.

Right:Omg. thats Rites of Spring song was so emo.

emo

people write things bad about emos and act like they are poisen, and everyone wants to act like all we do is cut and cry and be sad. But really they are the best people you will ever meet. They dont care what others think they are real and maybe everyone should be like this cause its better than a world of preps and bitches. they dont like shallow meaningless things and do know how to have fun with thoose who understand them. wich is other emos.
bitch:"Hey sad little emo cry for me and show me your arm."
emo kid:"my arms are clean jackass"

emo

short for emotional. emo people tend to have really cool hair. they are emo because they either have a very traumatized life or they are spoiled little brats and dont get what they want the first time. they are almost the opposit of gothic people. goths hate everyone. emos hate themselves. goths want to kill everyone, and emos want to kill themselves. however, i have nothing against emo people. they have their own song.
have you seen the new kid in math?
yeah hes so emo.

1) For whatever reason, a highly controversial word in youth culture and popular culture circles. Probably the definition that can be the most agreed upon is that side of post-hardcore which is melodic and accessible enough for mainstream pop audiences to enjoy. It should be taken into account that most bands who play this type of music are divorced from the art punk tendencies of many of the pioneering post-hardcore bands from the 1980s and 1990s.

2) "Emo" can also refer to the youth subculture that is centered around this particular niche of post-hardcore described in definition 1, which, much like the punk, goth, and hippie subcultures that preceded it, is identifiable by a particular fashion sense (in this case often straight, dyed black hair combed to one side to the point of being asymmetrical in appearance, also horn-rimmed or rectangular eyewear). Unlike the punk and hippie subcultures, at least, there are really no identifiable political or ideological concerns of the Emo subculture, and it is primarily defined by music purchasing habits and outward appearance. However, many members of the Emo subculture, often referred to as emo kids, are often seen as suicidal or suffering from other psychological problems, regardless of whether or not they actually are.

3) Archaically at least to some degree, "emo" is sometimes used to describe nearly all post-hardcore, particularly that which derives stylistically from the sounds pioneered by a number of bands from Washington DC and Maryland in the mid-to-late 1980s. It should be noted, though, that "emo" (then "emocore") was a derogatory term applied to the earliest of these bands by their detractors.
1) It is disputed by few that Jimmy Eat World and Braid are emo bands.

2) In some regions, the emo subculture is cause for moral panic.

3) Guy Picciotto, of pioneering post-hardcore groups Rites of Spring and Fugazi fame primarily, finds it upsetting that he is considered one of emo's founding fathers.

emo

Heres what I think -
Emos arn't depressing sad little wussies with no friends. We arn't fakes. We are humans. In fact the emos I know are perfectly happy, good friends. we wear black clothes, does that make us sad little wussies? Well I don't think so. Too many people hate emos without knowing what they are.
Emos sometimes get sad but then, everyone gets sad. That doesn't make us more sad than you
