A term from the Age of Empires 2 (AoE2) community which refers to a player who has picks the Persian civilization, then deletes their starting Town Center and rebuilds it within firing distance of the enemy Town Center. Persians are one of the few civilizations that can do this reliably since their Town Center has double hitpoints, though Byzantines get an honorable mention. It is generally considered a meme strategy, but is sometimes able to stress and tilt opponents into a chaotic tactical position or outright resigning, and has a controversial reputation among players.

Get the Persian Popsicle mug.A cultural and civilizational identity centered on Iran’s pre-Islamic Persian heritage, advocating for a return to indigenous Persian values, language, symbols, and secular self-rule. Persianism emphasizes cultural continuity, national sovereignty, and freedom from religious governance imposed after the 7th century. It rejects being forced into modern geopolitical labels and asserts the right of Iranians to define themselves on their own historical and cultural terms.
“Calling Iranian secularists ‘Zionist’ makes no sense—what they stand for is Persianism.”
"She’s not aligned with any religious ideology—she’s a Persianist who wants a secular Iran rooted in its own history and values."
